How is this different than what you’ve offered before?
We wanted to make our masterclasses more accessible than ever and easy to access in one place. Now you can watch all of our classes for less than the price of one with a rotating schedule of live offerings too! We have also added in our “office hours” because we know that T1D parents want community support NOW, not later. These calls are here for you to jump into whenever you need to vent, share, hear our team’s experience and meet with guest speakers.
Who is the Better Together Community for?
The BT Community is designed primarily for parents of children living with type 1 diabetes. However, anyone interested in learning more about type 1 topics is welcome! Many people living with diabetes themselves have joined and found great value in our masterclasses.
Will you be doing each masterclass live again?
New masterclasses will be done live the first time and then they will be added to our recorded library. We may also repeat certain classes live throughout the year. Don’t worry if you can’t make it live: all of our masterclasses, including these, are available on-demand in recorded format anytime you join.
Is Type One Together able to help with setting changes?
Unfortunately, Type One Together does NOT provide any medical advice. While we do have Diabetes Educators, RD's, and other practitioners on our team, we only provide our personal experience. It's always important to discuss any potential changes with your health care team. That being said, many members of our community have seen positive changes in their child's A1C, time in range and mental health around diabetes!
How often are live office hours held?
We host four live office hour sessions each month. You’ll always have access to the schedule at least three months in advance, so you can see upcoming topics and mark your calendar for the sessions you’d like to join.
What if I can't make any of the office hour call times?
We will record each call and make the reply available for 1 month after the call date. You are still able to submit questions for office hours even if you can't make it and our team will do our best to make sure they are discussed!
NEVER ALONE PROGRAM
We’re proud to partner with TK.Type 1 to offer complimentary passes funded by both Type One Together and TK.Type 1. These passes are designed to support members of our community who want to join Better Together but may not have the financial means to do so. Please note that passes are limited.
