Raquel Baron

Founder and CEO of Type One Together & T1D for 24 Years

Raquel has lived with type 1 diabetes for 24 years and is the founder of Type One Together. She has navigated sick days from the inside — the fear, the ketone checks, the decisions about when to push through and when to head to the ER. Her firsthand experience brings a level of honesty and relatability that no clinical training can replicate.

Amanda Berg

RN, T1D Mama & Advocate

Amanda is a former NICU RN and mom to a T1D toddler. She brings both clinical nursing knowledge and the raw, real experience of managing sick days as a T1D parent — including the 3am ketone checks, the judgment calls, and the moments of wondering whether to call the doctor or wait and watch.
